Minorca opens its entire scenery to our senses. The variety of entertainments offered by the island are done so within privileged surroundings, most of which are natural, endowing each show with a magical touch; such as the one that originates in an ancient stone-quarry: Ses Pedreres de S'Hostal, a privileged surrounding where the Líthica Cultural Association proposes unforgettable nights under the moonlight's influence (such as the Full Moon Party in August).

Another way of delighting our senses is attending the Summer Musical Festival(Festival de Música d'estiu) promoted by Joventuts Musicals de Ciutadella. These concerts are held, mainly, at the Seminar Cloister(Claustre del Seminari); an old convent of the Augustine's, where we will have the chance of enjoying the quality of acknowledged performers of classical music. On another hand Joventuts Musicals de Maó organize an International Music Festival at the Teatro Principal of Maó. In order to enjoy good music, another amazing scenery is the Santa María Church in Maó; where we can enjoy the musicality of the outstanding organ of neo-gothic inspiration, manufactured in the early 19th century. Nobody should miss the concerts held during the mornings dedicated to the classical; an indescribable sensation when listening to the splendid organ in a church matching its splendour. The Minorca Cathedral creates a unique atmosphere with its concerts, yet another scenery where to enjoy classical music.

The Teatro Principal of Maó is one of the oldest opera sceneries alive in the country. Built in 1829, according to the aesthetic norms of the 18th century Italian theatres, each year it programmes the Opera Week (Semana de la Ópera) featuring important stars of the bel canto. The theatre also takes an important part in the cultural programme of the island. Minorca hosts a number of theatre companies who act all over the island. A special mention is given to the Teatre de's Born de Ciutadella, where diverse plays are held through out the year and the Theatre Born Prize is celebrated since 1970.

Minorca is the paradise for jazz lovers, who have had the chance, for many years, to gather every week and let loose their imagination, improvising melodies at a venue where real jam sessions are held. The Minorca International Jazz Festival allows us to be acquainted with the most important bands of the international circuit at the considerable number of concerts appointed within the most authentic atmospheres. We can also discover different styles of musical proposals which are played at the various Clubs and Concert Cafés around the island.

A way of enjoying the warm summer nights is attending the open air cinema which takes place at the Carme Cloister (Claustre de Carme) in Maó, where one can enjoy a cool night watching the latest film releases. The world of films becomes the main star of the island during the Minorca Film Festival; an event directed to present different creative proposals of amateur films.

The water parks represent a scenery welcoming entertainment for the whole family, where one can spend an exciting day amongst spectacular water attractions. Another show not to be missed is the minorcan breaking in which is held at different equestrian centres through out the island, where one will discover the entire beauty of the autochthonous minorcan horse; an astonishing exhibition of skill and teamwork between the horse and its rider.
